大正6（1917）年に『松本電気館』として開業した映画館。『オリオン座』、『松本東映』と改称し、この頃は仁侠映画で賑わったという。1階は昭和の一時期、改装してクラブを運営していたが、平成元（1989）年頃に再改装し映画ホールにした。平成14（2002）年、通りの名前をとって『上土シネマ』となった後も地元ファンの憩いの場として運営されてきたが、周辺環境の変化や建物の老朽化などにより閉館。平成20（2008）年に90年の幕を閉じた。
ファサードは鋼板で覆われているが、もともとはレリーフを多くあしらった洗い出し仕上げの外壁が立ち上がった看板建築だった。5つ並んだ窓の上には三角のペディメントがあり、スズラン灯が付いていたほか、4本の柱型には装飾があり、大正ロマンの街上土通りを象徴するような建物だった。
平成28（2016）年、松本市近代遺産に登録された。

[Matsumoto City Modern Heritage]
A movie theater that opened in 1917 as “Matsumoto Denki Kan”. The name was changed to “Orion Theater” and then “Matsumoto Toei,” and it is said that the theater was crowded with chivalrous movies at that time. The first floor was renovated and used as a club during the Showa period (1926-1989), but was remodeled and turned into a movie hall in 1989. In 2002, it was renamed “Agetsuchi Cinema” after the street it was located on, and continued to operate as a place for local fans to relax, but due to changes in the surrounding environment and the aging of the building, it was closed in 2008 after 90 years of operation.
The facade is now covered with steel plates, but it was originally a signboard building with washed-out exterior walls decorated with many reliefs, a triangular pediment above the five windows, a lily lamp, and ornaments on the four pillars, symbolizing the Taisho romantic town of Agetsuchi-dori.
In 2016, it was registered as a Matsumoto City Modern Heritage Site.
