熊野寿哉

Hisaya Kumano

華道家・空間演出家。

洋画家であった父の影響で幼少の頃より美術に囲まれた環境で育ち、学生時代は油絵を学んだ。10代後半で上京しファッションデザイナーを生業にするも、芸術との格差に違和感を覚えていた頃に生け花に出会う。以来古典的なものから、現代美術として独自の解釈をした作品を創作し、国内の主要な能楽堂、有名ホテル、映画のセット装花など大規模なものから、旅館や飲食店、アパレルブランドの展示会等、小規模なものまで広く携わり、その活動エリアは日本のみならず、NY、ソウル、ブエノスアイレスと広範囲に渡る。

パフォーミングアートの作品も発表しており、マツモト建築芸術祭においては過去2年連続アソシエイトプログラムをトータルプロデュース。国登録有形文化財 Satoyama Villa 本陣、建築家・篠原一男設計の日本浮世絵博物館にて、能楽師・辰巳満次郎、アオイヤマダ、スティーヴ・エトウ、Daisuke Niitome(mouth on the keys)らとコラボレーションを行う。

植物の持つエネルギーや神秘性を最大限に引き出す為、それらが飾られる空間までも作り込む。幻想的で独特な世界観の演出を得意とし、多くの観客を魅了している。

Ikebana artist, Visual Set and Space designer. Influenced by his father, who was a Western-style painter, he grew up surrounded by art since childhood, and studied oil painting as a student. He moved to Tokyo in his late teens to pursue a career as a fashion designer. Later feeling a discrepancy with the world of art, he encountered ikebana. Since then, he has been creating works with a distinctive interpretation of classical and contemporary art. His exhibitions have spanned from large-scale displays in major Noh theaters in Japan, luxury hotels, and movie set decorations to more intimate settings including restaurants, and fashion brands exhibitions. His activities extend not only within Japan but also reach international cities such as New York, Seoul, and Buenos Aires.

He has also presented performing artworks. He has produced the Associate Program for the past two consecutive years at the Matsumoto Architecture ＋ Art Festival. He showcased performing artworks with Noh actor and dancer at Satoyama Villa Honjin and the Japan Ukiyo-e Museum. He has been collaborating with many artists including Manjiro Tatsumi, Aoi Yamada, Steve Eto, and Daisuke Niitoe.

In order to maximize the energy and mystique of plants, we even create a space where they are decorated. He specializes in creating fantastic and unique worldviews, attracting many audiences.

ステートメント

建築物があっての生け花作品。これまで室内で飾られて来た植物を半外（はんそと）の場所に。それは大地から切り離され移動して来た生命を、元の場所に還す行いかもしれない。今回お話を頂いた際一番初めに思い浮かんだ事です。一人の花人としていつまでも突き詰めたい欲望とは何か？植物自体が出生した切欠、土や太陽からの成長要素の取り入れ方法、葉からの水分の揮発のさせ方。学問では判明している事も、それ以外の分野の人間には現実味がありません。故に想像力を活力として生きる人間は、精神的な測度から対話を試みたいというのがそれです。今回の展示期間は一ヶ月と長期間です。作品は途中、苔や微生物、湿気や錆、バクテリアまで発生させ、成長と劣化、偶然と必然の変化を繰り返し、最後は腐朽していくはずです。

近い将来取り壊される今回の会場「旧松本市立博物館」と作品を重ね合わせ。万物流転の思想を孕み、行く行くは鑑賞者の記憶の中だけに残る物を展示致します。

Ikebana works are inspired by architecture. Plants that have traditionally been displayed indoors are moving to a semi-outdoor location. This may be an act of returning life that has been separated from the earth and migrated to its original place. This is the first thing that came to mind when I had an offer this time. This exhibition will last for a month. Along the way, the work will grow and deteriorate, generating moss, microorganisms, moisture, rust, and even bacteria, repeating changes both coincidental and inevitable, and eventually decaying.

The work is superimposed on the current venue, which will be demolished soon. I will exhibit objects that are imbued with the idea of the transformation of all things, and that will remain only in the memory of the viewer.
