板坂諭
Satoshi Itasaka1978年生まれ。建築家・アーティスト。2012年に建築設計、プロダクトデザイン、アートの製作など幅広い分野で創作活動を行う株式会社the design laboを設立。
昨年、イタリアで海外初の個展を開催。サンフランシスコMOMAをはじめ、幾つかの美術館のコレクションに作品が加えられるなど、エリアやジャンルを越えた活動を行っている。
著書に『New Made In Japan』（青幻舎）、『IN THINGS』（Lecturis）がある。
Born in 1978, architect and artist. In 2012, he established THE DESIGN LABO Co., Ltd., which conducts creative activities in a wide range of fields such as architectural design, product design, and art production.
Last year, he held his first solo exhibition abroad in Italy. His works have been added to the collections of several museums, including San Francisco MOMA, and he is active beyond areas and genres.
He is the author of “New Made In Japan” (Seigensha) and “IN THINGS” (Lecturis).

人の一生は短い。風船のように。
膨らんで、浮いて、萎んで、沈む。
永遠の命を追い求めるように、永遠に萎まない風船を作りたいと考えた。
気持ちが沈みがちなこの時代、浮遊する風船をいつまでも眺めていたい。
One’s lifetime is short. Like a balloon.
It Inflates, floats, deflates, and sinks.
In seeking eternal life, I wanted to create a balloon that never shrinks.
In this era where emotions tend to sink, I dare keep gazing at the floating balloon forever.
